 What Happens Next?

You are all booked in and I have to say a great big thank you for booking myself and allowing me to capture your amazing day! I can't wait to be part of your wedding and capture all the awesome moments that make your day so unique to you, for you to relive on with your loved ones!

This page will let you know what to expect on your wedding journey with myself and also give some tips that will help with your planning and experience.

Between now and then

Most couples, possibly like yourselves book with still over a year to go to the big day, this leaves quite a bit of time before we need to speak or see each other again, however, I am always here if you ever have any questions. If you have booked a pre-wedding session or it is included in your package, then I will be in touch to get this arranged or you are more than welcome to contact me at any time to arrange if you have a specific date or time of year in mind!

As per the terms and conditions, your final balance will be due 4 weeks prior to the day (unless paid in full), I will send the final invoice a few days before then, in addition, I will send a link to my online questionnaire to find out all the specific timings and details of the day to write up your personal wedding schedule to ensure I don't miss a beat!

I love to hear all about your plans and watch your wedding journey so do keep in touch and follow me on social media, I am on Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest or even add me as a friend that way we can fully see each other's journeys between now and then!

What can I expect on the day?

This is a perfectly good question, I will run through how I work out your schedule and how much time I give for your photo's or film at different parts of the day!

Bridal Prep

I normally arrive  a couple of hours before the ceremony which is halfway through your hair and make-up, I can work out when I will arrive and I normally allow at least an hour and a half before you have to leave for the ceremony (dependant on package and hours chosen), if you have a second shooter with your partner, they will normally arrive around an hour and a half before they have to leave, I advise that your partner waits for the second shooter to do things such as cufflinks, ties, and shoes to allow my second shooter to capture the little details that tell your story.

I will normally leave you around 40 minutes before the ceremony starts to allow me time to get to there and capture some of the guests arriving and to set up (dependant on travel time if ceremony is at a different location) if you are getting ready where your wedding will be for the day, I normally don't leave you until 15 minutes before the Ceremony, however I do say that if you want the shots of you getting in your dress and your first look, you will need to try and have these moments before I leave!

Ceremony

During the ceremony, I normally keep to a safe spot that has been previously agreed with the vicar or registrar, however, please do be aware if you are having a church ceremony to check with your vicar or priest prior that photos and film are allowed, some will prohibit what we can do!

Group Shots (Photo Only)

I understand that you will want to capture most of the family by having group shots, however I would advise keeping these to a maximum of 10 different group shots as each one can take approximately 2-3 minutes to set up and this can start to eat a big chunk out of your day and time spent drinking, mingling and having fun with your loved ones. It is something to bear in mind!

Portrait Session

Once the group shots are done and you have had that well needed drink, we can then go off for roughly 15-20 minutes to grab your couple portraits, this is a fab time to spend some quality time alone on the day as it can be hard when everyone wants a piece of you, I aim to get these done as quickly as possible to allow you to get back to your guests and I aim to be as natural as possible with your images, if we have had a pre-wedding session by this point you will already know what to expect from your portrait session (it really is not that bad!)

Speeches

Again just like the Ceremony, I will capture the speeches as unobtrusively as possible, if you are having film, I will need to make sure you have your microphone set up prior to starting!

First Dance

I normally capture the first dance sometimes using a flash set up if needed and I will always stay a couple of songs after the first dance to try and capture your guests and loved ones on the dancefloor (just don't laugh at me when I start to get my groove on, I just can't help myself doing a head bop to to A Town Called Malice) once I am happy with what I have captured and that we have everything we need, then it's my time to dash home to make a start on your sneak preview!

I hope this clarifies what to expect on the day, however as always if you have any burning questions then do not hesitate to ask me!

After the wedding....

2-4 days

A few days after the wedding, I will post your sneak peek on Facebook and Instagram for you to share with your friends and family, it may be a single image or a gallery of images or your 1 minute teaser trailer if you have booked film.

6-12 weeks

Your full wedding gallery will be sent to you within 8-12 weeks after your wedding day on a downloadable gallery, which is password protected to share with who you like, you can even make certain images private to just you, so you can control what others see from your gallery.

If you have booked film you will also receive your highlight film and your Ceremony and Speeches (if booked) also downloadable!

I edit the images and films in my signature style, which you will have seen prior to booking, there is no specified amount of images you will receive but it will be at least 350!
